Samsung Device Wall Installation
Samsung wanted a way to showcase their latest devices simultaneously, in their New York retail showroom at 837 Washington. Specifically, the Galaxy S8 phone, the QLED TV & Galaxy S3 tablet.
We came up with an art wall installation that would highlight all three devices at the same time. The devices worked together to create a wall whereby we could showcase 4K full bleed video content and games across all devices seamlessly regardless of their different orientations and power processing capabilities.
This installation became part of a semi permanent exhibition at the Samsung 837 Showroom and is viewable by the general public seven days a week. People can interact with the wall, play games and view the video content which provides information about events at the venue and upcoming Samsung products.
Our job was not just to concept the activation, but also to build & assemble the physical installation at their showroom and produce a game and video content that was to be displayed as well.
My role involved managing all aspects of the project from creative ideation, user flow to install and post launch plan. I produced the scope, ongoing project budget, overarching timeline, milestones and collaborated with the Creative, UX & Development teams in concepting the original idea, working through the user flow, site architecture & game mechanics for the program and creative design and production, testing and editing of the content to be displayed.
I researched technical vendor & fabricator outreach, managed all vendor contract negotiations and was the day-to-day liaison with all vendors including working with the fabricators regarding materials and build specifications. I liaised with Samsung Marketing clients regarding the ongoing project and showroom facilities staff regarding the physical install.
